One night, meteors start to fall in a Kurdish town. As they come out to look, people encounter fragments of the past and remember those who have been lost. The impact of the violence which has scarred the area has been erased from official records, leaving memories and stories to fill the gaps.
Jedne noći, meteori počinju obasipati jedan kurdski grad. Dok izlaze da posmatraju, ljudi nailaze na fragmente prošlosti i prisjećaju se onih koji su izgubljeni. Utjecaj nasilja koje je obilježilo područje izbrisan je iz službenih zapisa, ostavljajući sjećanja i priče da popune praznine.
Gürcan Keltek (Turkey, 1973) studied film at Dokuz Eylül University before directing several shorts. His medium-length film “Colony” (2015) was screened at FIDMarseille. His first feature film, “Meteorlar” (2017), won more than 20 awards and was screened at many international festivals, including Rotterdam IFF, BAFICI, Viennale, Bordeaux FF, Fajr FF, and Hong Kong IFF. “Gulyabani” (2018) premiered at Signs of Life FF in Locarno and was screened at Tate Modern, Reykjavik IFF, Rotterdam IFF, and Viennale.
Gürcan Keltek (Turska, 1973) studirao je film na Dokuz Eylül univerzitetu prije nego što je režirao nekoliko kratkih filmova. Njegov srednjemetražni film “Colony” (2015) prikazan je na FIDMarseille.
