Synopsis
Through a montage of surveillance and police body-camera footage, the reconstruction of a deadly shooting by a Chicago police officer becomes an investigation into how a narrative begins to take shape in the aftermath.

Directors Biography
Bill Morrison has been called “the poet laureate of lost films” (New York Times, 2021). He has premiered his feature-length documentary films at festivals in New York, Sundance, Telluride, and Venice. “Decasia” (2002) was the first film of the 21st century to be named to the Library of Congress’ National Film Registry. “Dawson City: Frozen Time” (2016) was listed among the best films of the 2010s by the Associated Press, Los Angeles Times, and Vanity Fair, among others. His short film “Incident” (2023) won the International Documentary Association’s Best Short Film Award (2023) and the Cinema Eye Honors for Outstanding Nonfiction Short (2025), and was nominated for an Academy Award for Documentary Short (2025).
