They were all over town. They assisted the armed struggle. Day and night, in basements and in attics. They held entire neighborhoods. Mira Stanišić helped Valter who couldn’t do it all by himself. Persa Teofanović and other women comrades with knowledge in the medical field held a medical training in the house of Cvija Bujić in Bolnička Street, no. 12 or 14. They printed bulletins at Sara Foht’s in Čadordžina. In Smilja Kurtović’s house at Abdića Street no. 9, they coded and decoded dispatches for the Supreme Headquarters. In Cilika Hajnrih’s apartment in Jezero Street, they hid propaganda materials and so-called “illegal activists”. Eighteen bombs, five guns, and around five hundred bullets were found in Vinka Marinović’s apartment on Marijin Dvor. In Sarajevo…

Bio

Andreja Dugandžić is a cultural worker, activist, and artist. She lives in Sarajevo and works at the Association for Culture and Arts CRVENA. For many years, she has been researching the history and heritage of the women's antifascist movement in Yugoslavia and engaging with its artistic and political applications. She is the co-author of the online Archive of the Antifascist Struggle of Women in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Yugoslavia (www.afzarhiv.org), and one of the editors of the anthology Lost Revolution: AFŽ Between Myth and Oblivion. She develops her artistic work through text, performance, and collage. She was a member of the legendary band STARKE and the duo Black Water and her Daughter.

Andreja Dugandžić je radnica u kulturi, aktivistkinja i umjetnica. Živi u Sarajevu i radi u Udruženju za kulturu i umjetnost CRVENA. Već dugi niz godina istražuje istoriju i nasljeđe ženskog antifašističkog pokreta u Jugoslaviji i bavi se njegovim umjetničkim i političkim aplikacijama. Ko-autorica je online Arhiva antifašističke borbe žena Bosne i Hercegovine i Jugoslavije (www.afzarhiv.org), te jedna je od urednica Zbornika – Izgubljena revolucija : AFŽ između mita i zaborava. Svoj umjetnički rad razvija kroz tekst, performans i kolaž. Bila je jedna od članica legendarnog benda STARKE i dua Black Water and her Daughter.
