Synopsis
In the interior of the island of Brač, a group of women lives in an unusual off grid community. They do not believe in private property or hierarchy, they manage the community by direct democracy, share the land, they grow and forge plants trying to be autonomous as much as they can. They are plagued by drought, lack of water and resources, as well as climatic changes. Each of the members of the community has escaped from a past life and together they are trying to build their own small self-sustaining oasis. But when the question of registering ownership in the land register is raised, the very survival of the community comes into question.
Sinopsis
U unutrašnjosti otoka Brača skupina žena živi u neobičnoj off grid zajednici. Ne vjeruju u privatno vlasništvo i hijerarhiju, a svojom zajednicom upravljaju direktnom demokratijom. Dijele zemlju, uzgajaju i skupljaju bilje nastojeći biti što autonomnije. Pogođene su ljetnim sušama, nedostatkom vode i klimatskim promjenama.
Pobjegle iz svojih prošlih života, zajedno pokušavaju izgraditi svoju malu samoodrživu oazu. No kada se postavi pitanje upisa vlasništva u zemljišne knjige, samo postojanje zajednice je dovedeno u pitanje.
Directors Biography
Karla Crnčević is dramaturge and film worker exploring politics of images and sound through various formats and work conditions. Her video and film works have been exhibited and awarded in various countries. She is one of the founders of Unseen festival – dealing with revitalization of cinema spaces. She hold MA in Dramaturgy (Academy of Drama Arts, Zagreb) and Filmmaking (EQZE, San Sebastian).

Karla Crnčević je dramaturginja i filmska radnica koja istražuje politike slike i zvuka kroz različite formate i uvjete proizvodnje. Njeni video radovi i filmovi prikazani su i nagrađeni na različitim festivalima u domaćem i međunarodnom kontekstu. Jedna je od osnivačica Unseen festivala koji se bavi revitalizacijom kino prostora. Diplomirala je dramaturgiju na ADU u Zagrebu i usavršila se u školi EQZE u San Sebastianu.
