Synopsis
In 1946, shortly after the atomic bombings, an American army team shot a documentary about “defeated Japan”. Reel 11004 concerning Hiroshima and Nagasaki would be classified top secret for 36 years. Mirabelle Fréville has found it and edited it to denounce the first censorship in nuclear history.

Directors Biography
Mirabelle Fréville is a filmmaker, programmer, and documentarian. After studying political anthropology and film, she joined the TV channel La Sept-Arte to acquire short and medium-length films. In 1995, she moved to Brittany, becoming a festival programmer (Brest, Doc Ouest, Travelling) and archivist for films. In 2012, she directed her first short film “La Source,” co-wrote “L’Or Rouge” with Philippe Baron two years later, and directed “The Reel 11004” in 2020.

Mirabelle Fréville je filmska režiserka, programska selektorica i dokumentaristkinja.
