Pravo Ljudski invites all young creatives with short documentary film ideas to apply for the Ko je vidio video?! #10 creative documentary film lab.
The call is open to directors, journalists, artists, writers (and everyone else!) between the ages of 18 to 29 from around Bosnia and Herzegovina, who have ideas or stories they’d like to put out in the form of short creative documentary films. If you have an idea you’d like to bring to life but need the technical support and guidance of experienced filmmakers, Pravo Ljudski, with the support of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), is offering a two month intensive mentorship program for the development of short films. The program will take on a hybrid form and will consist of a two-day residency in Sarajevo, followed by a two month-long online program of individual consultations with mentors, artists and filmmakers from the European film industry, guiding you through the making of your project.
Ko je vidio video?! #10 offers:
- An inspirational two-day session in Sarajevo
- Individual mentorship and consultations with renowned filmmakers from across Europe
- Support in the technical execution of your project and aid with various filmmaking elements: directing, sound and image, editing and post-production
- Support in regional distribution of your completed film project
All participation costs are covered by the organizers.
Our aim is to provide support to young people from various environments – especially those without formal art education, or from rural areas – and create an opportunity for focused, structured work on the development and execution of their ideas. The film industry in all its forms, both in countries in transition and in a global sense, often appears closed off and inaccessible, especially to those just starting out. For over a decade, the KVV platform has provided informal creative documentary film education to Bosnian-Herzegovinian youth. It represents one of the key ways in which Pravo Ljudski aims to maintain open spaces in Bosnian cinema, both on screen and behind the camera.
