Pravo Ljudski Film Festival proudly announces the collaboration with the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) and Institute for Youth Development KULT on the ROUTE WB6 Volunteer Program for its upcoming 16th edition. As cultural and critical educators, focused on the topics of dealing with the past as well as social engagement and human rights, Pravo Ljudski shares its core values with the mission and goals of RYCO thus making this collaboration an organic one.

ROUTE WB6 project is hosted by the Cooperation Office (RYCO) in association with several organizations from the Western Balkan region (WB6), such as Beyond Barriers, South East European Youth Network, Institute for Youth Development KULT, Lens, Youth Cultural Center Bitola, Association for Democratic Prosperity Zid and Young Researchers of Serbia.

The ROUTE WB6 through its volunteering opportunities for youth acts so to empower youth to become drivers of reconciliation and societal reconstruction, enabling them to initiate and lead intercultural dialogue and regional cooperation. Practically, the program is designed to serve as one of the main mechanisms for youth mobility, volunteering and peacebuilding, being unique as such in the region of Western Balkans. While its development is connected to the design thinking methodology, involving different actors, the main contribution on its final shape came from young people themselves.

The 16th Pravo Ljudski Film Festival will host the ROUTE WB6 volunteers coming to Sarajevo from all of the involved six Balkan countries, so to open its doors to the youth to actively engage in the very realization of the Festival.

The volunteers will shape the festival by being involved in the departments of Festival Promotion, Hospitality, Venues and Equipment management, Logistics and so much more. All active volunteers will have the opportunity to learn and share both from their peers, as well as from the festival programme, filmmakers, local activities and youth. The exciting hands-on experience in the festival will hopefully also open the world of possibilities of arts and culture.

We look forward to welcoming the volunteers and wish them a memorable collective experience!
